As part of its vision and mission to graduate physicians proficient in communication skills and equipped for lifelong learning, the Department of Internal Medicine at Al-Ameed University’s College of Medicine has launched a series of scientific lectures based on the "peer learning" approach. This method involves students preparing and delivering scientific lectures for their peers under the supervision of specialized professors, fostering critical thinking and enhancing medical information presentation skills.
This approach has proven successful and positively impactful among students. Two fourth-year students, Humam Salah Ghalib and Jaafar Salah Jasim, presented a lecture titled “Acute Pancreatitis,” while students Hiba Basim Gati’a and Rawasi Abdul-Hussain delivered a lecture on “Gallbladder Diseases.”
